Human Evolution Origins

Evolution is a term used to describe a complex process through which organisms transform  into other forms over a long period of time by alteration of traits; retaining the good trait through natural selection. Evolution is dedicated to establishing the origin and the transitional stages organisms took to get to the present states. They are most interested in establishing the origin of humans, by use of modern biological concepts. The Hall of Human Origins has displayed hominids from different periods in history (humanorigins.si.edu).The fossils are categorized according to the regions from which they were discovered and data from carbon dating is also provided to show the exact time when the hominids existed. Connecting different results from different carbon analysis have enabled historians to come up with a relatively accurate chain of evolution of the hominids to current humans. The theory of evolution has been largely rejected by the numerous groups, especially religious groups that are embedded in religious believes most of which are related to creation theories. Regardless of the opposition and rejection, evolution remains to be the only substantial theory on the origin of human. The other theories are based on believes and assumptions (humanorigins.si.edu).

Human beings are one of the most curious groups of creatures on the planet; the quest for knowledge and on their origin has driven them to explore evolution aggressively. Throughout the history of man kind, it has been noticed that humans tried to connect their origin to some place, and this is the same reason that drove the to start religious groups that were connected to some super natural being that supposedly created them humans (humanorigins.si.edu). However the free thinkers decided to take another approach and explore nature in search for reality, this approach is seemingly more accurate as is evident from the biological analysis of the fossils in relation to the genetic combinations of the humans. The knowledge on source of human life is so valuable and ascertaining this can settle the human cravings and curiosity.

When the path of evolution is ascertained it will be possible for the analysts to determine the next possible results of evolution and what will become of the humans. The ability of the humans to walk with two legs (bipedalism) evolved more than four million years ago, but the brain, speech and the ability to use hands to perform complex activities developed later. Other aspects of life like discipline, development and need to possess property emerged about 100,000 years ago. Form the recent discoveries, the humans were classified as primates with other animals such as the chimpanzees, and in fact statics show that the humans are very closely related to a certain varieties of apes; bonobos and pygmy chimpanzees. The scientist have already documented on about 15 species that are related to human (Hopkins, Leavens 96).

The present fossils collected from around the globe were found to have traits that looked very similar to those of the humans (humanorigins.si.edu). There are efforts to establish the life styles of the most currently discovered fossils like the skull found at Olorgesailie, Kenya and also analysis of remains believed to have belonged to a group referred to as the Hobbits of Flores, Indonesia. The recent discoveries are exposing fossils that are just a few hundreds years old (Fleagle 57). Conclusion

Evolution is complex and the results from the process are haphazard, and very difficult to categorize and draw conclusions from. In the past analysts have had difficult agreeing on which stage presided the rest. The availability of the fossils in some regions and non in others is also a subject of contention within the parties on the pattern of settlement adopted by the hominids. There are many positive attributes of the evolution with academicians arguing that with more investment into technology, the analysis might be able to produce more reliable and accurate results on the hominids that existed before humans, their activities and connection with the net hominid. Evolution is the only theory that can be quantified and should thus be considered as the most proximate theory of human life formation.
